NBCP has the pleasure to invite you to the NBCP 2016 Annual General Membership Meeting on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 7.30 – 10.30 AM at the New World Makati Hotel Glasshouse.
The AGM will be followed by an economic briefing by Dr. Dan Steinbock and Dr. Cielito Habito, who will provide an external and internal overview for the Philippine economy in 2016, discussing how the global and regional economic climate impacts the Philippines’ prospects for the short and medium term. A Q&A session will follow the presentations.

About the Speakers
Dr. Dan Steinbock is an internationally recognized expert of the multipolar world. He focuses on international business, international relations, investment and risk among the major advanced economies (G7) and large emerging economies (BRICS and beyond). Altogether, he monitors 40 major world economies and 12 strategic nations.
In addition to his advisory activities, he is affiliated with India China and America Institute (USA), Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (China) and EU Center (Singapore). As a Fulbright scholar, he also cooperates with NYU, Columbia University and Harvard Business School.
He has consulted for international organizations, government agencies, financial institutions, MNCs, industry associations, chambers of commerce, and NGOs. He serves on media advisory boards (Fortune, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, McKinsey). His commentaries are released in major outlets across the world.
Dr. Cielito Habito currently heads the Trade-Related Assistance for Development Project of USAID as Chief of Party for Deloitte Consulting. On leave as Professor of Economics in the Ateneo de Manila University, he had also served as Director of the Ateneo Center for Economic Research and Development for more than ten years (2001-2012). He also writes the popular award-winning weekly column “No Free Lunch” in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
As former Secretary of Socioeconomic Planning and Director-General of the National Economic and Development Authority, he was the country’s chief economic planner through most of the 1990s and a member of the Cabinet of President Fidel V. Ramos in 1992-1998.
Dr. Habito holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, where he also earned a Master of Arts. He also holds a Master of Economics from the University of New England in Australia. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from UPLB.
