NordCham Philippines in partnership with Regus Philippines and BDO Unibank gathered three exciting business leaders together for a panel discussion: Lars Wittig, Country Manager of Regus Philippines; Carol Dominguez, President & CEO of John Clements, and Hervé Alfieri, Managing Director of Tapp Commerce Philippines. The speakers presented and discussed their respective topics: Managing a Mobile Workforce, Women in Business, and Disruptive Business Models as Change Enablers.
For his part, Mr. Wittig highlighted the need of millennials to have a flexible workplace and how Regus was able to meet this through adaptability, knowledge sharing, and using technology as an enabler. Ms. Dominguez gave a spirited presentation on the challenges and advantages of women-leaders in the male dominated world of business. Carol shared research data from 16 Filipina CEOs, revealing that these women leaders were not sought out to be their company’s top brass, but because of their hard work and perseverance they were able to rise through the ranks. Meanwhile, Mr. Alfieri presented the disruptive business model that they created in Tapp Commerce by marrying the technology of the West and dynamic market of the East to allows people without bank accounts or credit cards to locate mobile point of sales in order to pay for goods and services via mobile.
