Engineering and consultancy company Pöyry, held a seminar last October 24 at the Solaire Resort and Casino, entitled Pöyry Energy Day Philippines: Solutions and Innovations for the Next Wave. The event, attended by company partners and clients, had a topnotch and jam-packed agenda that covered current issues in the Philippine Power Sector, offering solutions for companies to grow and make it to the next cycle.
Key presenters included respected Philippine economist and professor Dr. Bernardo Villegas who gave an overview of the electric power industry and its relationship with the overall Philippine economy; and Chairman of the National Renewable Energy Board Atty. Jay Layug, who on the other hand, tackled details of FIT, CSP, and RCOA.
Seven of Pöyry’s global top experts in the Energy industry, also shared remarkable insights on solar, coal-fired and hydro power as well as battery storage technology and municipal waste power generation.
