May Abrera
Trade Manager at Orissa International Philippines
May Abrera is a business development professional who is managing projects in Southeast Asia for one of Orissa International’s key account. These projects involve providing consulting services, market entry and expansion strategies, market research, partner search (e.g. distributors, end-users), organizing trade missions, and other related activities to about 100 small-medium businesses annually. One of her major accomplishments handling this account is exceeding each of the last 3 fiscal year’s multimillion US$ export sales target from Southeast Asia. Industries she has handled are diverse but, majority are from the industrial, life sciences, ICT, cleantech, education, retail, and agriculture sectors.
For almost two years (2017 and 2018), May was based in Vietnam and headed Orissa International’s operations in Vietnam. From 2019 to date, May is based in Manila, Philippines.
Prior to Orissa International, she was with an Australian consulting firm, specializing in providing outsourced sales, digital marketing and system support for companies.
Anna Demetillo
Trade and Research Consultant at Orissa International Philippines
Anna is a Trade and Research Consultant with Orissa International responsible for assisting companies in their internationalization strategies in Southeast Asia. She has undertaken market research and business matching projects in the Philippines for various foreign companies in the agriculture, ICT, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors, among others. Anna had also been invited to present sector-specific key trends in Southeast Asia to various foreign government clients. In addition, she has organized highly successful trade missions and reverse trade missions that resulted into sales for our clients.
In her previous role as a senior mergers and acquisitions analyst for EMIS, a Euromoney Institutional Investor Company, Anna was responsible for managing a team of M&A analysts in the Philippines and has acquired a strong knowledge of emerging markets and emerging industries.
