DMW Asec. Pampolina Discusses Latest Policy Updates and Programs for Filipino Seafarers— Joint Maritime Committee Meeting for June

On 27 June 2024, NordCham Philippines co-hosted the Joint Maritime Committee Meeting for June at the German Club Manila in Makati City. The event featured Assistant Secretary Jerome Pampolina of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), who provided valuable insights into the plans and programs of the DMW for Filipino seafarers and updated the audience on recent policy developments in the maritime industry.

Assistant Secretary Pampolina began his presentation by highlighting the crucial role and mandate of the DMW, the primary agency dedicated to protecting the rights and promoting the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
