NordCham Philippines Attends the 2024 Ease of Doing Business Convention

NordCham Philippines attended the first day of the 2024 Ease of Doing Business Convention organized by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) on October 28, 2024, at the Sheraton Manila Hotel, Newport City.

The three-day event themed “Maximizing Efficiency through Relation, Innovation, and Collaboration,” brought together leaders from government, business, and international organizations to discuss strategies for enhancing the Philippines’ business environment.

The first day explored the Philippines’ performance in the World Bank Group’s Business-Ready Survey, showcasing how policy reforms reduced barriers, streamlined processes, and increased transparency, making the country more attractive for investment.

In photos, notable speakers shared insights on promoting business preparedness. Among them were Mr. Gonzalo Varela, Lead Economist and Program Leader at the World Bank Group; Sec. Ernesto Perez, Director General of ARTA; Guillermo “Bill” M. Luz, Chairman and Advisory Council of AIM-RSNPCC; Mr. Rene Almendras, President of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP); and Ms. Eunina V. Mangio, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).
