ABB Philippines recently organized an intimate stakeholder engagement titled “ABB Distribution Solutions Today”, held at the SEDA Hotel BGC, Taguig.
The event, which was attended by at least 100 customers and target clientele, featured three sessions which covers ABB products, technology and solutions. ABB global experts from Finland, India and Czech Republic flew in to provide support to the event.
His Excellency, Alain Gasche, Ambassador of Switzerland to the Philippines was ABB’s Guest of Honor. Harlem Tsai, Digital Substation Product – Global Product Marketing Manager (SAS region) ABB Finland presented REX 610, the latest addition to ABB’s line-up of relays; as well as centralized protection, measurement and control for digital station; Nilesh Bauskar Senior Marketing Manager- International Marketing, Indoor & Outdoor Products, Distribution Solutions ABB India, talked about the advance technology of the ABB Digital Switchgear solution for the Medium Voltage Distribution, highlighting the latest digital features.

Serving as the main highlight of the whole-day affair was the launch of ABB Sensors, the latest addition to ABB’s local distribution solutions portfolio. Allan Bonagua, Product Marketing Director for ABB’s Distribution Solutions led the product launched with Czech colleagues Lukas Cesky and Roman Gvritishvili presiding over the technical session.
An open session capped the event, with customers and attendees freely walking toward the booth set-up of each products. They were all entertained by the global experts on-site, and were given first-hand experience via the demo unit that was brought in, especially for the event.
