The Midsummer Feast 2023
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for celebrating an enchanting Midsummer Feast with us. The Nordic traditions and the beauty of the summer solstice came alive in a warm and inviting atmosphere last 24 June 2023 at The Atrium at Enderun.
The feast was a gastronomic delight. Guests were filled with an array of scrumptious Nordic cuisine, immersing themselves in the flavors and essence of the region. From appetizing starters to savory mains and delightful desserts while savoring the flavors of the traditional Nordic drink Aquavit. The dining experience was elevated by an enchanting violin performance by Jeanette Kamphuis, which filled the air with pure joy and merriment, creating a truly magical atmosphere.
It wouldn’t be a true Midsummer celebration without the joyous dance around the Maypole! Guests enthusiastically showcased their moves for the frog dance, adding an extra layer of joy to the festivities. Congratulations to the winning groups, whose exceptional coordination, enthusiasm, and energy captivated everyone. They truly embodied the spirit of the Midsummer Feast and were well-deserved to receive champagne and bottles of wine as their prize.
One of the notable moments during the festivities was the presentation of a certificate of appreciation by Rowena Taylor, Executive Director of Chosen Children Villages. The certificate recognized NordCham Philippines for their generous donation of Php 300,000 from the previous SKÅL: The Nordic Viking Party event. The proceeds from the event were dedicated to supporting the Chosen Children Village Foundation, a nurturing home for mentally handicapped and orphaned children. This act of philanthropy exemplifies the commitment of NordCham Philippines to making a positive impact in the lives of those in need.
