Navigating Employee Benefits and Recruitment Strategies in the Philippines with InCorp Philippines

On 24 April 2025, NordCham Philippines, in partnership with InCorp Philippines, successfully held the seminar “Benefits in the Philippines under Existing Laws and Recruitment Trends and Strategies” at the InCorp Philippines Community Space in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The event brought together HR and payroll professionals, business leaders, and recruitment specialists for an in-depth discussion on key labor regulations and evolving hiring practices in the Philippines. Leading the sessions were Mary Jane Jong-Luarez, HR Consulting & Payroll Associate Director at InCorp Philippines, and Lea Soliman-Galera, Recruitment Director at InCorp Global Talent Solutions Philippines. Both speakers provided participants with valuable insights into employee benefits, compliance, and recruitment strategies tailored to the Philippine context.

Topics covered included a comprehensive overview of mandatory benefits such as 13th month pay, service incentive leave, paternity and maternity leaves, solo parent and special leaves, and retirement pay. The speakers also tackled common challenges in implementation and shared best practices to ensure both legal compliance and employee satisfaction. Additionally, the session explored top recruitment trends and strategies—highlighting the importance of aligning sourcing, hiring, and retention practices with the current labor market landscape.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, where participants had the opportunity to raise questions and share their perspectives. This open forum allowed for deeper discussion and practical clarifications, enriching the overall learning experience.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to InCorp Philippines for their valued partnership, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to the engaging discussions. Stay connected with NordCham Philippines for more knowledge-sharing events that empower professionals and strengthen the business community.
