NordCham Philippines and InCorp Philippines Partner for an In-Depth BIR Audit Learning Session

On 13 August 2025, NordCham Philippines in partnership with InCorp Philippines, successfully hosted an insightful learning session "Guide on BIR Audit" at the InCorp Philippines Community Space, Marajo Tower, BGC.

The session, led by Aira Gomez, Associate Director for Financial and Tax Compliance of InCorp Philippines, brought together business owners, accountants, finance managers, and legal professionals to better understand and navigate the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) audit process in the Philippines.

Throughout the event, participants gained practical knowledge on the purpose, types, and legal foundations of BIR audits, common triggers and red flags that lead to audits, and the step-by-step audit process from the issuance of a Letter of Authority (LOA) to the final assessment. The discussion also covered essential documents and records to prepare, effective ways to respond to BIR notices, and proven strategies to minimize audit risks through compliance best practices and strong internal controls.

The session also featured an engaging Q&A segment, where attendees were able to raise real-world scenarios and receive expert guidance directly from the speaker.
