NordCham Philippines Attended ARTA’s 2025 Ease of Doing Business Convention

NordCham Philippines, represented by Bo Lundqvist, President, and Axel Fries, Executive Director, joined leaders from government, the diplomatic corps, and the business community at the Annual Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Convention 2025, held on 04 November 2025 at The Manila Hotel.

With the theme “LEAD with EODB: Leveraging Efficiency, Accountability, and Digitalization for Ease of Doing Business,” this year’s convention, organized by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), gathered key decision-makers and reform advocates from agencies such as the Office of the Ombudsman, DTI, SEC, BOI, and other major institutions.

Highlights included keynote insights from Ombudsman Jesus Crispin C. Remulla, who emphasized that “we cannot cut corruption without cutting red tape,” and a special message from DTI-BOI’s Atty. Marjorie O. Ramos-Samaniego, underscoring sustainable and inclusive investment facilitation under Executive Order No. 18.

NordCham’s participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting regulatory reforms, promoting transparency, and advancing a more efficient, accountable, and business-friendly environment in the Philippines. Being part of this national conversation is vital to ensuring that Nordic businesses—and the international community—can thrive in a climate that encourages fair, streamlined, and digitalized business processes.

Together with fellow chambers, embassies, and government representatives, NordCham reaffirms its support for ARTA’s efforts toward a more competitive and ease-driven Philippines.
