NordCham Philippines Attends ARTA’s Launch of PH Ease of Doing Business Reform Guidebook

On 22 May 2025, Axel Fries, Executive Director of NordCham Philippines joined key leaders from the public and private sectors at the official launch of the Philippine Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Reform Guidebook, held at The Manila Hotel. The event was organized by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) as part of its continuing mission to streamline government processes and enhance the country’s overall business environment.

The launch brought together representatives from government agencies, private sector partners, and development organizations to introduce the PH EODB Reform Guidebook. This essential reference outlines priority reforms designed to simplify procedures across the entire business lifecycle. It covers areas such as business entry and location, utilities, labor, trade, taxation, dispute resolution, and insolvency. The guidebook presents a comprehensive roadmap aligned with the national EODB agenda.

It also serves as a practical tool for policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders, offering strategic direction for implementing reforms that promote transparency, competitiveness, and economic efficiency.

The program also featured the Awarding Ceremony for EODB Partners, which recognized institutions and organizations that have made significant contributions toward improving ease of doing business across the Philippines.

NordCham Philippines’ participation in the event highlights its commitment to public-private collaboration in fostering a more competitive and investor-friendly business landscape.
