NordCham Visits Embassy of Sweden in Manila and Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila
As part of its continuous efforts to deepen Nordic-Philippine partnerships, NordCham Philippines conducted courtesy visits to two Nordic embassies in Manila on June 18 and 19, 2025.
On 18 June 2025, NordCham Philippines, represented by Executive Director Axel Fries and Board Member Karsten Reichstein, visited the Embassy of Sweden in Manila. They were warmly received by Ambassador Anna Ferry and Johan Lennefalk, Trade Commissioner of Sweden to the Philippines. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to explore synergies between NordCham and the Swedish Embassy, particularly in the areas of trade promotion and community engagement.
Earlier today, 19 June 2025, NordCham continued its diplomatic outreach with a visit to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila. Executive Director Axel Fries and Board Member Karsten Reichstein met with Ambassador Christian Halaas Lyster, along with Maria Jensen, Second Secretary; Claus Gaasvig, Business and Trade Advisor; and Ana-Maria Florentino, Senior Advisor for Business and Trade. Discussions centered on potential areas of collaboration, strengthening ties with Norwegian businesses in the Philippines, and enhancing bilateral trade and investment.
These visits underscore NordCham Philippines’ commitment to fostering closer cooperation with Nordic diplomatic missions, introducing its ongoing initiatives, and exploring future collaboration opportunities. NordCham looks forward to working more closely with the Embassies of Sweden and Norway to drive shared goals and further amplify the presence and impact of Nordic businesses in the Philippines.
