From Reflection to Direction: Insights, Governance, and Leadership at NordCham’s AGM and Outlook 2026

On 30 January 2026, NordCham Philippines successfully convened its Annual General Meeting and Outlook 2026 at Raffles and Fairmont Makati, bringing together members, partners, and guests for a focused discussion on governance, economic trends, and strategic priorities for the year ahead. With the theme “From Reflection to Direction,” the event served as a platform to review achievements, strengthen leadership, and chart a clear course for 2026.

Outlook 2026: Insights, Risks, and Fiscal Direction

The Outlook 2026 session opened with Opening Remarks by Mr. Bo Lundqvist, President of NordCham Philippines, highlighting the theme and the importance of strategic planning for 2026.

The program continued with expert insights:

• Mr. Dante R. Tinga Jr., SVP and Director of Research at BDO Unibank Inc. – Philippine Economic Outlook 2026, covering growth, inflation, interest rates, foreign exchange, and sector performance, with implications for financing and investment timing.
• Dr. Dan Steinbock, Founder of Difference Group Ltd – Philippine Risk Outlook 2026, addressing external risks, geopolitical developments, and regulatory priorities affecting Nordic-Philippine trade.
• Undersecretary Michael Peter A. Alejandro, Department of Finance (on behalf of Secretary Frederick D. Go) – Fiscal Direction 2026, summarizing government priorities, policy reforms, incentives, digitalization, and public-private partnerships.

Annual General Meeting: Governance, Performance, and the Road Ahead

Following the Outlook, NordCham Philippines held its Annual General Meeting, exclusive to Business Partners. The AGM reviewed the Chamber’s 2025 performance, financial position, and key initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to transparent governance. Business Partners were also presented with strategic plans to guide NordCham’s programs and engagements for 2026.
