Skål! Viking Party Manila 2025 Brings Valhalla to Dusit Thani Manila

Skål! On September 13, 2025, the spirit of the Vikings roared to life as NordCham Philippines hosted Viking Party Manila at Dusit Thani Manila. Nordic ambassadors, business partners, and guests came together for an unforgettable night of Nordic food, drinks, music, games, and celebration inside a ballroom transformed into the grand halls of Valhalla.

The evening kicked off with a pre-program as The Silk Band played in the foyer, setting the tone with live music while guests enjoyed their first round of drinks and explored sponsor booths. Soon after, the blast of a Viking horn and the thunder of drum beaters signaled the start of the main program, guiding attendees into the Mayuree Ballroom, where the venue had been transformed into a true Viking great hall.

The program opened with a thrilling swordfight performance by Blood and Iron Martial Arts, drawing cheers from the crowd. A ceremonial toast followed, before the introduction of the competing country teams. In true Viking fashion, participants performed the Viking Row and Country Clap, igniting the energy ahead of the evening’s competitions.

Before the battles began, Daniel Charlton, Hotel Manager of Dusit Thani Manila, welcomed everyone with a rousing roar, introducing the overflowing Nordic buffet prepared by Dusit’s culinary team. A mini raffle kept the excitement building, and then the much-awaited Viking Games began.

One of the highlights of the evening was the Viking Games Competition, where attendees unleashed their competitive side in true Viking fashion. Guests filled the hall with cheers as country teams went head-to-head in challenges that tested strength, skill, and endurance, including Tug of War, Axe Throwing, Thor’s Hammer (strength challenge), and Thor’s Toast (beer-drinking contest).

With victories in the strength and beer-drinking contests, Team Philippines was crowned the Overall Champion of Viking Party Manila 2025, earning thunderous applause and cementing their place in this year’s Valhalla celebrations.

The celebrations continued as The Silk Band took the stage once again, performing timeless Nordic hits from ABBA, Roxette, Ace of Base, and Europe. Guests also eagerly awaited the grand raffle draw, where lucky winners took home luxury prizes from generous sponsors. Finally, the night reached its peak as DJ BartyBoy took over the decks, hyping the crowd with an electrifying set that kept the dance floor alive until midnight.

Viking Party Manila 2025 was more than a party—it was a showcase of Nordic tradition, Filipino hospitality, and the strong partnership between communities. With feasting, music, competition, and camaraderie, the evening captured the very essence of what it means to eat, drink, and celebrate like a Viking.
